How to arrive in Florence by car !
Highway and Superstrada (High speed carriageway)
Two main highways pass by Florence : A1 cutting Italy north to south, and A11 which connects the city to the coast. There are several exits from the highway: Firenze Nord, Firenze Scandicci, Firenze Certosa and Firenze Sud.
In proximity of Florence there is also another exit : Barberino del Mugello, close to the formula 1 circuit and to Barberino Outlet. An alternative exit to reach the shopping centre is Incisa Valdarno.
In addition to toll highways, Florence is also served by carriageways which integrate the road system.
